Surf & Sun was launched in 2001 by Luke Talbot-Male and is still owned and operated by Luke with Jane and their 2 kids Nadia and Kai always helping along the way.

The learn to surf Middleton offered by Surf & Sun was an idea that came from Luke’s personal experience of learning how to surf with his Dad in the same location. Luke and his family used to come down from the Adelaide Hills every weekend until Luke decided it was time to turn his passion into a business and Surf & Sun was born.

Surf & Sun employs around 25 staff and is managed by Gary Haworth, 7 x South Australian State Surfing Champion. On the team there are multiple state surfing representatives with a mixture of male and female coaches.

Surf & Sun is known for being South Australia’s leading surf school and operate at Middleton beach, Moana Beach, Goolwa, Robe and Vivonne Bay in South Australia. For school camps and programs Surf & Sun also operate at Yorke Peninsula and Kangaroo Island.

Luke and the team love surfing, they love teaching surfing and they live the beach lifestyle that they promote.
